The brief
A family of five remodeling a 2000s spec home. They needed real storage (the previous kitchen had none), better cooking flow, and a look that wouldn't feel dated in five years. We led with two-tone — warm walnut up high where the eye sits, matte black grounding the lower half.
Process highlights
The island is a continuous quartz waterfall on three sides — fabrication needed careful CNC of the cabinetry below to match the slab template exactly. Brass push-to-open mechanisms in the upper walnut cabinets keep the wood face uninterrupted.
